The 1:1 Best Replica Omega Speedmaster Watches UK Dedicated To Apollo 17

It is December 14th, 1972, and Apollo 17 astronaut Gene Cernan is about to set foot on the ladder of the Lunar Module. Before he does so, he kneels and writes the initials of his daughter Tracy in the Moon dust. On his wrist is top replica Omega Speedmaster 105.003 watches with caliber 321.

His watch is on display at the Omega Museum in Biel and was used to recreate the Speedmaster Calibre 321 model in 2020. Cernan’s UK cheap fake Omega Speedmaster 105.003 watches with NASA serial number 28 and product code CF55033 was the last worn on the Moon. As you can see in the following pictures, it has seen intensive use. The bezel fell off, and the Hesalite crystal is damaged. Cernan wore his Speedmaster 105.003 on a JB Champion bracelet, of which Deke Slayton (NASA’s director of Flight Crew Operations) ordered several for his crew. These bracelets tended to snap off the wrist when encountering too much resistance. This was useful for any astronaut who didn’t want to risk losing a hand if it got stuck behind something. It’s amazing to think that something normally considered a weakness became a unique selling point for a product.

Anyway, 2022 marks exactly 50 years since Cernan was the last man on the Moon and scribbled his daughter’s initials in the dust (they are still there). Together with Don Davis, Cernan wrote his story in the 1999 book The Last Man on the Moon. In it, he also mentions the use of his high quality Omega replica watches on the lunar surface (fun fact: some customers who bought an Omega Speedmaster Professional received this book as a complimentary gift). The other Apollo 17 astronauts were Ron Evans and Harrison Schmitt.

Omega Speedmaster Apollo 17 editions

Although Cernan wore the perfect copy Omega Speedmaster 105.003 watches during the Apollo 17 mission, the limited editions dedicated to him are all Speedmaster Professional models. The difference is that the Speedmaster 105.003 had a straight-lug case with a diameter of 39.7mm. All the Speedmasters dedicated to the Apollo 17 mission are 42mm “Professional” models with lyre lugs and crown guards. But the 105.003 was not the only watch that Cernan wore. It has been reported that he also wore a Speedmaster Professional 105.012-66 (caliber 321). His fellow astronauts Ron Evans and Harrison Schmitt both wore a Speedmaster Professional 105.012-66. While aboard the module, Ron Evans used a 145.022 (caliber 861) for specific experiments. This was the only caliber 861 that was close to the Moon.

The first watch dedicated to the Apollo 17 mission was introduced as part of the famous white Mission Cases with 23 watches inside. They included 22 Speedmasters with mission patches for the Gemini, Apollo, and Skylab missions, as well as one Speedmaster ’57 Broad Arrow model with caliber 1861. After producing 50 of these Mission Cases with 23 watches each, Omega produced between 100 and 150 wholesale replica Omega watches per mission patch model separately. The only exception was the Apollo 13 edition, which was released as a limited edition of 999 pieces in 1995.

2002 Apollo 17 limited edition of 3,000 pieces

The next Apollo 17 commemorative China fake Omega Speedmaster Professional watches was the 30th-anniversary model introduced in 2002. This 3,000-piece limited edition was based on the then-current Moonwatch ref. 3570.50 but featured a special “Last Man on the Moon” engraving on the case back. It also came with a special box and a certificate. This Speedmaster Professional 3574.51 was fitted with the ref. 1998 bracelet with ref. 849 end links. We had one in our shop a while ago.

2012 Apollo 17 limited edition of 1,972 pieces

One of the most hated Speedmaster models is probably this Apollo 17 edition from 2012. It has a sterling silver coin as a dial and the Omega Speedmaster Professional wording printed on the sapphire crystal. This particular model (ref. 311.30.42.30.99.002) wasn’t an instant seller, as Gerard wrote here, but I think it has gained some appreciation in the last few years. On the wrist, this silver-coin-dial 1:1 Omega replica watches can actually look very intriguing.

2017 Apollo 17 limited editions in gold and steel

For the 45th anniversary of the Apollo 17 mission, Omega introduced two AAA super clone Omega Speedmaster Professional limited edition watches. One was in 18K yellow gold and the other was a similar-looking model in stainless steel. The stainless steel version was limited to 1972 pieces to commemorate the year of the mission. Omega capped the production of the gold model at 272 pieces.

A specific feature of this limited-edition Speedmaster Professional Apollo 17 is the blue ceramic dial and bezel in combination with gold. The bezel uses Omega’s Ceragold for the tachymeter scale, and the time-telling hands and applied hour markers are also in 18K gold. The full-gold version of the replica Omega watches online store has an interpretation of the Apollo mission patch in gold on the seconds sub-dial, while this is in a chrome color on the stainless steel version. The steel Speedmaster Apollo 17 45th-anniversary edition (ref. 311.30.42.30.03.001) came with a stainless steel bracelet. In contrast, the gold version (ref. 311.63.42.30.03.001) was only available on a brown alligator strap with a gold folding clasp.

No new model for the 50th anniversary

Many Speedmaster fans expected to see 2022 fake Omega Speedmaster Apollo 17 edition watches this year for the 50th anniversary of the mission. It would make it the fifth (or sixth, depending if you include the 1997 mission-patch model as a separate version) limited edition to celebrate an Apollo 17 anniversary. Omega decided not to release a new watch for this occasion. Instead, the brand sent a press release and created a separate landing page on the Omega website with nice images and a video.

Apollo 11 Astronaut Michael Collins’s Cheap Replica Omega Speedmaster Watches UK Up For Auction

Astronaut Michael Collins, one of the three men on the Apollo 11 mission in 1969, passed away just over a year ago at the age of 90. When I was in Italy for the Speedy Tuesday event in Milan in 2019, I spoke at length with our special guest astronaut Nicole Stott about Collins. She knew him quite well, and according to her, Collins was one of the nicest guys from the Apollo program, as well as a talented painter.

Michael Collins, Apollo 11 astronaut

In fact, Collins was responsible for the design of the Apollo 11 patch, and he orbited the Moon thirty times in the Command Module during the Apollo 11 mission. During these orbits, which took 48 minutes each, he was out of radio contact with Earth while he was on the far side of the Moon. Collins stated in his book Carrying the Fire: An Astronaut’s Journeys that he didn’t feel fear or loneliness. Rather, he felt “awareness, anticipation, satisfaction, confidence, almost exultation”. On his wrist was the luxury UK replica Omega Speedmaster Professional 145.012-68 watches, as I described in this article.

The gold Speedmaster “Tribute to Astronauts”

After the successful Moon landing mission in July of 1969, all of the then-active astronauts were invited to a banquet dinner in Houston, Texas on November 25th of the same year. During this dinner, the President, Vice President, and astronauts were each offered gold commemorative best fake Omega Speedmaster Professional watches with reference BA145.022-69.

The first 18K gold Omega Speedmaster Professional Replica Watches

In short, the top replica Omega Speedmaster Professional BA145.022-69 watches is a full-gold version of the steel Moonwatch 145.022. It features an 18K gold case with the same design cues and dimensions as the regular steel perfect copy Omega Speedmaster Professional watches. The gold bezel has a burgundy red aluminum inlay with the famous “dot over ninety”. One of the things that makes this BA145.022-69 reference so special is, of course, the solid gold dial. This is indicated by the “OM” next to “Swiss Made”, which means Or Massif, or “solid gold.” The hour markers are made of onyx, have two facets each, and are set in gold frames. The hands are black with gold centers and give wonderful contrast to the solid gold dial.

In total, Omega produced 1014 of these gold Swiss movements Omega Speedmaster replica watches. Besides the ones that went to astronauts (34 allocations are known) and other VIPs of that time, they were made available for the market with a slightly different engraved case back. You can find an in-depth article on the gold online super clone Omega Speedmaster Professional “Tribute to Astronauts” watches on this page. The article includes an overview of all the known allocations of this watch.

Michael Collins’s Speedmaster No.19

For the Apollo 11 crew, Neil Armstrong received number 17, Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin has number 21, and Michael Collins received number 19. And it is this number 19 that will be up for auction on Wednesday, June 1st, 2022. Auction house Heritage Auctions was able to secure this gold Omega Speedmaster replica watches shop site that belonged to one of three Apollo 11 astronauts.

It’s hardly necessary to get provenance with this watch, as it has his name and the number 19 engraved. It does, however, come with a small note stating: “This Omega fake watches for sale was given to me shortly after the flight of Apollo XI, and has been in my personal possession ever since. I wore it seldom if ever, but I have wound it every decade or so, and I believe it is in perfect operating condition. Michael Collins, Apollo XI CMP.”

Not Michael Collins’s first watch on the auction block

It’s interesting he didn’t wear it, or at least not often. Other Apollo astronauts can be spotted in old images wearing theirs. Apparently, he also had a Rolex Day-Date reference 1803 in his collection. That watch was auctioned in 2004, fetching $37,500. That was a different time for Omega replica watches for men (and their value) though, and a regular 1803 wouldn’t have even fetched $10K back then. The Day-Date was engraved “M.C.” and had an accompanying letter stating that Michael Collins owned it for approximately 34 years. According to the same letter, he sold it because he decided he liked black watches better. And indeed, in some images, you can see him wearing black watches. In the image below, you see Armstrong and Aldrin wearing their gold Speedmaster Professional BA145.022 watches.

Oval O dial

On this early 2022 fake Omega Speedmaster Professional BA145.022-69 watches, you’ll find the oval “O” in the Omega logo. Then, there’s the gold bezel with burgundy red aluminum inlay. The bezel looks amazingly crisp. A lot of the vintage BA145.022-69s have scratched and dented bezels, and unfortunately, they can’t be replaced. Omega doesn’t make any replacement parts for it. Sometimes, you will find black bezel inlays fitted to these watches, which come from the 1980 Speedmaster in gold (BA345.0802). This example comes with the standard gold bracelet, reference 1116/575, which tapers from 20mm to 14mm. Inside is the Lémania-based caliber 861, which Omega used from 1968 till 1996. The later versions have a rhodium-plated finish, but the older ones have this nice copper-color finish.

To mark man’s conquest of space with time, through time, on time

The really cool thing about this watch, of course, is the engraved case back. It reads, “Astronaut Michael Collins, Gemini 10 — Apollo 11, No. 19, to mark man’s conquest of space with time, through time, on time”.

The current bid is at $51,250 including the buyer’s premium, but that’s about the going price for gold best quality replica Omega Speedmaster 145.022-69 watches on Chrono24 at the moment. Given that this watch belonged to Apollo 11 astronaut Michael Collins, the price will surely go much higher than this. I wonder what the fate of this watch will be… Will it end up on a wrist, in a museum, or as the plaything for investors?
